Livestock Sector plays great role in progress and national economy of Pakistan. Higher education in livestock is imparted by formal Agricultural and Veterinary Universities in Pakistan which are not catering in service Personnel. However AIOU has its own character having varieties of Educational methodologies within itself. It gives opportunity to candidates who could not improve their qualification from formal universities. Therefore Department decided to offer M.Sc (Hons) Livestock Management through distance learning system, especially for those who could not enhance their qualification through formal system.
Admission Requirement:
Candidates possessing DVM degree or B. Sc (Hons) Animal Husbandry degree equivalent to 2nd Division in Annual System (not less than 2.5 CGP)
in semester system will be eligible for admission.
Selection Process:
NTS Test will be conducted. Applicants Scoring 50% and above marks will be eligible for admission
Duration:
The minimum duration of M.Sc. (Hons) Livestock Management shall be two years and maximum duration shall be three years. There will be two semesters in each year.

Department laboratory will be engaged for lab work. The laboratory of local institutes could also be engaged where necessary. Practical will be offered with courses of Dairy Production, Meat production, Small Ruminant Production, Biochemistry, Livestock Management Practices.
