M.Sc. (Hons) Rural Development
Introduction: 
Recognizing the growing needs and requirements for trained professionals in rural development AIOU has decided to initiate a Masters level program in Rural Development. This program provides graduates with an interdisciplinary base from which to approach the diverse issue involved in rural change. It is designed for students interested in pursuing careers that are interactive with the potential and problems associated with the rural sector. The program is multidisciplinary in its course contents, and will provide an opportunity for in depth study of the key elements of rural development and relevant professional practice.
Admission Requirement: 
B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / Animal Husbandry / Agriculture Engineering degree in 2nd division or M.A / M. Sc in Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology / Forestry or DVM degree in 2nd division will be eligible.
Selection Process: 
NTS Test will be conducted. Applicants Scoring 50% and above marks will be eligible for admission
Duration: 
The minimum duration of M.Sc. (Hons) Rural Development shall be two years and maximum duration shall be three years. There will be two semesters in each year.

8) Managing Projects in Rural Development (1797) Half

Workshop: 
The workshop for one semester course work will be conducted at the end of each semester; the duration of the workshop will be one week. Attendance in the workshop will be compulsory.
Thesis: 
The minimum period to complete the thesis after the successful completion of course work will be one year and maximum period of the degree shall be three years.
